Asking about boot.ini

Hi

Can anyone please tell me about the function of boot.ini in Windows XP ? What is it needed for ? How does it work ?Thanks

boot.ini in xp is used for more than one operating system on your hard drive. it will contain the timer setting for the boot menu and the list of the O/S that you may have
