Question Promiscuous Mode?

How can i tell if my NIC is in Promiscuous mode. I have a Intel Pro Set II card in Windows 2000. I am setting up a internet filtering software and the card needs to be in Promiscuous mode.

Promiscuous mode means that the card looks at packets directed at all addresses, not just the address of the adapter.

Your network adapter has to support promiscuous mode, so I would check out the manufacturer of the card for more information.
