Favorites & History Folders in Win98SE

I wonder if someone can help with a comment or link to my queery.

The contents of the Favorites folder (C:\Windows\Favorites) can be successfully updated by copying and pasting additional entries.

I was trying to copy my History folder but whatever way I try, I cannot seem to be able to copy the info. The files can be copied but merely become ordinary folders.

Is there a way to copy into the History folder on Win98SE?

Many thanks for any help provided and Happy New Year.

Yes, I see no real need to copy someone's History Folder to another computer.
