IE and System sounds...

Is there a way to turn of the noises that IE makes? Like those "confirmation" clicking sounds?

Also, it there an easy way to turn on / off system sounds in general? Like a master switch to turn them off for a short period of time, then easily turn them back on?

TIA !

Try the Sounds in the Control Panel. You can control what sounds are made for what actions through that.

They can be turned off and on through Control Panel-Sound Speech and Audio Devices-Change the Sound Scheme

Couldn't find a "master" on/off, but I did find the one that annoys me the most, and it's off now!!

Thanks!!

Yeah the "Start Navigation" sound (the click you hear) annoys me like nothing else. It's the first I turn off after I install windows.
