xp pro
hey all,trying to work some bugs out.pop up window says i have corrupt files and to run checkdisk.i reboot but it doesnt run,is ther a way i can do it manually.need some help here.specs are as follow,a7n8x,amd2400,256 kingston g4 440 and xp pro

To run it on a drive, open My Computer, right click the drive, and choose Properties. On the Tools tab, click the "Check Now" button. Check either or both (I usually check both) boxes, and click Start. If the disk contains locked files, CHKDSK cannot run immediately, but will ask if you want it to run at the next reboot.

that is exactly what i have always done,upon reboot it says something like checkdisk has been disabled.any ideas

Um... do you try running it in safe mode?

Just keep booting it and eventualy it will check the disk. It's a common xp thing.
