my xp home has no icon to easily return to the desktop when the screen is cluttered with open programs.
i am used to it in win 98 and can't believe they took it away in xp home. it's probably right under my nose somewhere...help |

thankx for the info.
![]() personally, since i've made no changes to this 3mo old pc, i kind of thought that i was just not familiar enough with xp home to properly find it. [they like to move things around compared to my old stomping grounds of win 98] i guess i'll just have to recreate it. [ who knows if it was ever on this emachines pc.]

have you tryed right clicking the task bar highlight the toolbar link and select the quick launch bar ?

That link is useful if you deleted the icon. Unless you deleted it, right click on the taskbar and go to properties. Under the taskbar tab, check Show Quick Launch. That should bring the icon to the taskbar. Or you can just hit Win+D.
