Boot sector corruption

I tried a driver roll back after an attempted video driver update via Windows Update caused a program to exhibit even more erratic behavior.

Unfortunately, this corrupted my boot sector (sys is corrutped was the general error message).

I was unable to repair with the XP disk, so I reinstalled with a second partion, and have it running, and have been able to locate MOST of my old files, but I cannot locate my e-mails or e-mail addresses.

Which file stores the e-mail information for Windows Office 2000 Professional? Since my other files were still there, it's possible that these files are still present even with the second partition.

Thanks.
