changing boot drive
I have a 120gig HD partitioned into C: 5Gig and D: 115Gig ,Windows XP is on the D: drive and the C: drive is a backup drive. I want to use the C: drive for my Norton Ghost image only, how do I make the D: drive the boot drive as the boot.ini is on the C: drive and if I delete it how will XP boot up on the D: drive?

I understand what you are saying, would partition magic just change the drive letters and place the boot.ini on the the old D: drive?

i dont know i havent tryed that. the way i wood do it is to expand the c drive to say 60 gb then move every thing from the d rive to the c drive then run drive mapper which is part of partition magic so all your programs point to c: instead of d then expand the c drive some moor to 115gb then use the remaing d for the gost image i know it seams a lot of work but its the only way i know which keeps your data safe and your programs working if any one elce has a better idea or quicker way i wood be intrested to know
