I work at a small office and need to work from home somedays. Since it is a small office we don't have an actual domain server we just have things networked together. I've set it up so that I can access my computer from home but on occasion somebody else will be using my computer also and it will boot them.
I'm wondering if there is a way to set up XP pro to allow a remote and a local user to be logged in and using the comptuer simotaniously. Thanks, Andrew |

How do you have it "set up" to access your office PC from home?

If there is another way to do it that would be great but I am unsure of how to do it

There is a remote manager program called NVNC where you access another computer and display its desktop on your workstation. It works with any windows O/S, I believe.

The VNC series programs are good but they still take complete control of the system and will not allow multiple users to use that system (one remote, and one local). When someone is connected through VNC they will actually be controlling the pointer and moving it around on the screen. Along with NVNC there is RealVNC, and TightVNC all great and the later 2 of the 3 are compatible with almost all O/S.
Btw Hows It going

Well, that's the only free alternative I can think of. The next least expensive would be web-based remote managers like gotomypc.com, though personally, I'd be a little leery of them.
The more expensive route would be PCanywhere. It's gong well, geldon. IM me next time you are around.
