sys restore
I recently had a problem that I tried to fix buiy using sys restore. I went back three times.
Well, I didn't need sys restore. Can I just use restore, and ck the restore point where I started from? In other words, I went back from 1-6 to 1-4, then to 1-3, then to 1-1. And now I just want to go back up the calendar to where I was at 1-6 ? I see an option to undo the last point, but that would only take me back one. Ant help appreciated. B |

Can't you just pick to restore to the 6th on your calendar in SR?

it will only do the dates that are highlighted. they are the ones that are the restore points that were created.
a restore point is only created when a system change is made or software is installed. no other restore points are created unless it is done manually |

ok, Im not trin to start an argument here. It is today the 8th.
When I did the restore's was the 6th. I backed uo to the 5th, didn't fix it, so I went and backed up to the 3rd, and then again to the 1st. At each try I had the choice to undo the last restore, but I didn't. Stay with me./ I fixed the PC. Now, the 5th, 6th and 7th are availble restore points. I wondered if I could keep undoing untill I got back to the current or just clk on the 6th, doing it all at one time instead of incraments. I didn't know if bringing it back up would cause any problems. But now that I think of it after reading the posts, it wouldn't give me the option if it was gonna be a problem. well,,, sorry that took so long. I just thought maybe someone else had been in the same situation |

If the 6th is highlighted then you can do a restore to that date.

any date that is highlighted is a restore point, and any time you do a restore, a restore point is also created for that date and time.
