Question Windows XP Registry Coruption Problem

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=822705

Make sure that system event logs do not contain event ID 9, event ID 11, or event ID 15 (or any combination of these events). These events may indicate hardware problems that must be addressed.

Does anyone know the path to the system events log in Windows XP ? I have a computer that looses regisrty entries. It won't run XP Home or Pro edition for more than 24 hrs before the registry becomes corupted , however if I format and reload the system restore CDs (Windows 98 SE OEM) it runs fine all day long , even with starups and shut downs. It is an HP N3310 K6 AMD 500 with 256 SDR RAM.

I even went out and spent the 99 bucks for the windows XP home edition upgrade just for this system.
