Strange things....
I got one for ya, when I reboot my computer I have icons or documents that magically reappear even after I know I moved or deleted them.....very strange.

Its as if my computer it turning the clock back on itself.....for example I had all my favorites scattered the other day, so I put them all in folders, when I rebooted my pc a few minutes ago they were scattered again.....

SCJ, did you ever get this problem resolved. Having a similar issue with .jpg files that are deleted, recycle bin emptied but they show up again on the desktop after reboot.

I am sure theres a virus in your system, better scan it with all updated software.

As it turns out the person had saved hundreds of .jpg files to their desktop. They would delete the visible ones. Once they rebooted files would "reappear". What was actually happening is that the icons outside of the visible area would rearrange themselves. I noticed when i went into docs and settings/desktop and saw the hundreds of files.

Desktops are for shortcuts and TEMPORARY file storage.
