difference between WinNT & Win xp to 95
i would like to enquire as to the difference of the WinNT and the other Win XP to 95.
I ask this coz somebody was telling me that Win XP are all part of the Win NT. So this is confusing me . Pliz assist |

Windows thru 98se were all DOS based systems. NT, 2000, and XP are NT based, no dos involved (correct me if I'm wrong here, guys) Also, I think ME is dos based.

i think u r right
i feel u right wen u say that some are Dos and some are NT (Me,2000,XP).
now i get the logic. If u have any site were i can get the full explanation of this please put it up |

i feel much better equiped now to understand why this Win NT thing. at first i had thought of NT as server software which has nothing to do with sitting on an average users desk. The other thing is that i understand it a whole much better so that i can look for more info with some direction much better. Thanx |
