Virtual Drives - How?

My friend is lending me his copy of WarCraft III for a bit, and I asked him what he would do without it, and he said he had it on a virtual drive. I understand the idea behind a virtual drive, but how do I go about creating one? I download a "Virtual Drive Creator 2.02" or something, and it creates the drive no problem, but if you remove the cd-rom it doesn't work. Should I transfer the files on the disk to a folder, and make THAT folder the virtual drive?

Using a virtual drive with your own software so you don't have to switch CDs constantly is fine. Using it to share a game with a friend is not, as it is a violation of the software EULA and can't be discussed on these boards.

doctorgonzo, I apologize. I know it is a violation, but I don't intend on any online play. Plus, this knowledge may and probably will be applied so I can run MY other games without the CD.

About the Circle Virtual CD program: now that I've created the drive, how do I go about deleting it? Uninstalling the program? For future reference ...

Bustaromeo:
Keep in mind that discussions about installations violating the EULA of a software are NOT PERMITTED on this board. We don't care if you arent going play online or what time of the day you play.
Please heed this warning, and go through the site FAQ if needed.
