Trying to help a friend with passwords.
Right now the system boots to a box that has "Administrator" for name and he clicks on the "Okay" button to continue. He wants to be able to add and change the password occaisionally to keep young minds from accessing the pc when he is not home. I have never done this before so don't know where to start. Went to Control Panel>Users/Passwords and clicked on Cont-Alt+Del to change password and instructions say to enter ols password. There is no old password. Just leave it blank?? Once he is logged in as administrator he can press ctrl-alt-del, and on the task manager box that comes up should be a rectangle towards the bottom that says change password.. He can use that to password protect the administrator login..

Yes correct because there is no current password, in the space for old password right now you just leave it blank...
