Question XP Boot.ini- Is this a bad problem?

I have a Toshiba WinXP Home laptop.
When I boot up I get the toshiba screen then I get an error that says:
"Invalid Boot.ini
Boot from C:\Windows"
THen it loads XPHome and everything works fine. I opened my boot.ini file and it is completley blank? Should i be concerned?

Thanks a lot!

Just delete the file if you only have one OS installed.

The boot file should say

[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\Windows
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\Windows="Windows XP" /fastdetect

At least thats what mine says minus the custom boot screen

[boot loader]
timeout=10
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(3)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(3)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect /KERNEL=LOGOOS.EXE
C:\="Microsoft Windows 98"
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(3)\WINDOWS="(Backup Line) Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect /sos
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(3)\WINDOWS="(Safe Mode) Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect /safeboot:minimal

My full one is

[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\Windows
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\Windows="Windows XP" /fastdetect
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\Windows="Windows XP Bootlogo" /fastdetect /KERNEL=ntosboot.exe

Only difference is that I made myself a bootscreen with the Linux pegunine on it lol. Kept the origional just in case I screwed it up somehow.
