AutoPlay is AutoNothing
It has been the case on only a few old CD's, but now it's becomming an issue with many of my new ones. When I put a CD in the drive, it either loads the CD and take ages to load the autoplay screen, or it just doesn't load at all. This is especially the case with my local computer magazine's cover CD's, which ran fine a while ago. Please help, it's becomming annoying. I've got the latest drivers, so what can I do?

If you have XP, right click on your CD drive(s) and select Properties. Select the Autoplay tab and select the option you want, either prompt or select no action.
However, it sounds like you have 95/98, in which case you need to disable "Autoinsert on notification"... I think that's what it is called, and I believe it is in the same location. |

I'll see what effect it has, and I'm running XP.

Messed around with the Autoplay settings as you mentioned DarkHorse. A few of the CD's work, most don't, and loading times are still low (sorry, that was harsh). Anyone else have any ideas to help the two of us?
