Windows 2k Start- up problems

Ok, I read the FAQ, this subject was sort of in that thread except it didn't answer my question and therefore I am posting it here:

I know that Windows 2k has no msconfig command... but I had a friend who did something else to get to a window that showed what was being started up whenever my system was booted. Therefore I was hoping to ask someone here if they may know where he went to get to this window in Win. 2k. He did not download a utility or anything of the such, but instead did something and got to a window on pc that shows the applications being started up when my comp turns on...how do I get here?

Since W2K doesn't have a msconfig and you say there wasn't a 3rd party program to show what is starting or running at bootup, then I would think your friend clicked Control+Alt+Delete and then clicked on the Taskmanager button.
That will show everything running in the background.

No...I don't think he did that...as I would have known where he wents then, however this is also helpful to I am sure to stop some processes. But I know he was went somewhere to stop certain processes from starting up when I boot my system.

u can put msconfig in windows 2000 by copying it from windows xp or 98 computer. put it in the C:\WINNT\system32 folder. there u go...

download a similar program here...
