Can't seem to find downloaded files?
Been downloading some video files using Window's primitive download manager but I can't find where they're located. Say's they're downloaded to Temporary Folder but tried search and going through Explorer and can't find the file. Anyone have any idea where they might be. I've configure XP to display hidden folders. Thanks.

try these locations:
C:\Documents and Settings\Your user name\Local Settings\temp c:\temp c:\windows\temp You might be best changing the default location to your desktop. how? follow this. open regedit go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer then change the Download Directory by right clicking on its name in the right hand pane and selecting modify. then change the name to your desktop which will be something like: C:\Documents and Settings\Your user name\desktop Or you can change the location to any where you want. And remember to back up your registry before changing anything. |
