pop3trap.exe
i just installed windows xp pro on my new system and after installing a few drivers i started getting this error message - "pop3trap.exe-application error. the application failed to initialize properly (0x0000005). Click to terminate." i tried to use restore point and to uninstall some of the drivers but none of that helped. any idea? i guess i could reinstall the os!?

Are you trying to install PC-Cillin? pop3trap is a mail scan service by them. What version are you trying to use?

yes, installed pc-cillin 2002, version 9.05. i'm gonna try to remove the program from the system and perhaps get a different one. this one came free on the cd-rom w/my mobo asus a7n8x-e
