Hi!
It seems everytime I put my computer to sleep it disconnets my DSL (No Router), I don't know why the reason is. I looked in the power options but really didn't see anything that can trigger this. Can it be in bios setup by any chance? Thanks! |

There is a settings to turn off a nic to save power and is found in the advanced settings of the nic. I'm not sure if this will help or not.

Control Panel > Network Connection > right click on the NIC > then "configure" and under the advanced tab you should find the power managment tab

Right click MY Computer then left click Properties/Hardware tab/Device Manager/click the + at network adapters/right click the network card/go to properties/power management tab and uncheck "allow the computer to shut the nic down".

By the way my card is a 3Com EtherLink XL 10/100 PCI For Complete PC Management NIC (3C905C-TX)
I trust this is not the built in card that comes with my motherboard. |

Nic stands for Network Interface Card, sometimes they are called a Network adapter...they are all the same thing.
