Question Canot open folder

I have reinstalled xp, now I cannot open the folder from my previous user account. It says access denied. How do I open the folder? I also cannot move the folder

You just need to "take ownership" of the folder. The instructions are in the MS KB article, HOW TO: Take Ownership of a File or Folder in Windows XP.

Note that if you're using XP Home, you'll have to boot into Safe Mode to access the necessary Security tab.
