move window question

I have a window that when I open it, the top of the window is above my screen. I can't get to the top bar to move it down. Is there an other way to move a window? That window does not have a buttonin the sys tray either.

Point the cursor at the edge of the window to get it to turn into a double-headed arrow. When it does, right click and choose Move. That snaps the cursor to the title bar as a four-head arrow...even if the title bar is out of sight...and you can then drag the window around.

Use the ALT+TAB key combo to switch running windows until Windows has focussed on the window you want.

Next press this Key combo: ALT+SPACE+M. This will give you a keyboard based move control for the window. Use the arrow keys on the keyboard to move the window to where you want it and then press ENTER to drop it there.

Try the way I wrote above. You do not need to see the four-headed arrow to move the window. That arrow is usually located at the titlebar of the window to be moved. Simply focus on the window, press ALT+SPACE+M and use the arrow keys to move the window around.

There is now way to use alt tab. The window does not show up there.

In a program there is a settings pulldown, and when you bring it up I can't move the window.

Once the window has focus, you can hit the Alt key, then the Space key, then the M key, then use the down arrows on the keyboard to bring the window top down into view.

If you cannot use ALT+TAB to switch to the window in question, just click anywhere in it to focus on that window.
