Another person may correct me if I am wrong (I'm not a gamer), but can't you run a Counterstrike server on Linux?

Linux is a flawless server OS or you can just use XP Pro to. You don't really need an advanced server OS to run a game server.

Moderator warning-

If you dont want to answer a question, there is no obligation to do so - feel free to leave the thread after reading it. Refrain from posting nonsense in response to a member's question (or trying to be sarcastic), be it something that has been dealt with before or not. This is a civilized place where anyone should be able to come here and receive help.
Even if you want to tell someone to use the search function as the issue has come up before, is fine - not your responses!

there is a Linux server for CS 1.5 here, don't know about 1.6, which is the current version.
