win98 startup error
OS: win98se computer: P233/64 ram notebook
problem= during win98 bootup following error message appears--need to know cause and cure! "the following file was recently repalcemed by a progtam..older...must restart windows to fix.." c:/windows/system/DDEML.DLL restarting does not erase this message from reappearing! thanx. do i need to reinstall win98?? |

Did you install any programs lately? It sounds as if you did and the program replace the dll with an older version.
Try using System file checker to extract the file off of the Win 98 cd and replace the one in c:/windows/system.
