Multiple users and default screensaver

I'm trying to get the default screensaver set to "my pictures slideshow" when no one is loged on.

I found the REGISTRY Key for SCRNSAVE.EXE, it is currently set to "Logon.scr"

How do I edit this key to run the slideshow? or is there an easier way?
I tried editing it to F:\Documents\Shared Pictures but that didn't work.

The pictures are not on C: drive, there on a different drive (F
in a shared pictures folder.

Also, how would I set the options as far as size of pic. how long to display etc...

Thanks.

screen saver

Don't know if this will help but in win me( op sys I have) just go to control panel - display- screensaver- settings. Here it gives you options of timing, size, and folder location( you can browse to a different drive and folder). Sorry not familiar with win xp but its probably similar. reguards Mark

Thanks, but that won't work in xp. It works for each individual user, but when no one is logged on it reverts to the default screensaver, and there are no easy ways to change or adjust the settings for that, At least not that I can find.

If I use tweakui logon\settings and copy over the current user screensaver settings would that work?

If it it doesn't how easy is it to change it back to what it was?

Send a message via MSN to doctorgonzo
This is how you do it:

The reason it didn't work for you before is because you just changed the registry key to point to your pictures folder. You have to point to the actual screensaver program.

Thanks, but that won't work either. The problem is that the picture slideshow "ssmypics.scr" is set to pull pictures out of
C:\Windows\System32\Config\System Profile\My Documents
but all of my pictures are on my F: drive
Is there any way to point the ssmypics.scr to F: drive or am I out of luck.
It works if I am logged on, From the desktop right click\properties\My Pictures Slide Show\ Settings and browsed to the folder on F: drive and that works. But I want it to work when no one is logged on.

What OS are you running? (This information is helpful when asking for help)

Since I don't know what OS you're using, I can only speculate, but here's my best guess:

You're out of luck.

Reason: Windows doesn't map drives before a user logs on.
