Ok I have an XP Pro and a 2k Pro system apparently I went to the same site from both PC's now I have this stupid little coffee cup in the system tray next to the clock from time to time and there's a Java control applet in control panels now. Is this necessary, doesn't IE do some sort of java on it's own? Can I just uninstall this without loosing functionality now?
Thanks Gene |

Do not remove your java off your computer. It will cause more troubles than its worth. I am right now fighting with my java because i got the new version of Win2000 that doesnt have the JVM and now that i have installed java accessing web pages has become easier.

I did finally find out how to get rid of the coffee cup. I didn't however remove it totally. I disabled the item in the control panel and re-enabled java support in the browser advanced tools menu.
Thanks Gene |
