Disk Cleanup

I keep getting a message saying I've run out of disk space. I'm running Win98 SE with a 40 gig (2 20 gig partitions) with 2.11 gig left on the C drive. I have checked the appropriate box in disk cleanup to disable the warning but I keep getting the message. Any idea on what to do? Thanks

In these days of 200gb drives selling for around $120 (USD), I confess I'm a little rusty on disk-space warnings. So, I'm not ignoring your post, but I haven't found an answer yet either! . . .

The trigger low disk space setting for the warning on a 20 gb partition shouldn't happen until it drops below the 70mb neighborhood http://support.microsoft.com/default...24&Product=w98 . . . So, at 2.11gb free, you're a long ways from there.

Do you have any programs that generate large temporary files? (while compressing or decompressing images or video, for example?). If so, and if there's even more free space on the D partition, you could try entering the options menus of those programs and move their temp files from C to D [all this assumes that they're on C at the moment]

I'll look a little more later on [time to get the kids from school]
. . . Gary

p.s. ....I suppose you could temporarily move your swap file over to D too, allthough swap files aren't usually all that huge = but it might help
