Could this run on a sony clie peg-sj22?
Hey,
My mom just got a clie peg-sj22 for an early valentine's day gift. Here is a layout of the specs. http://sonyelectronics.sonystyle.com..._SpecSheet.pdf The thing is my friend has a pda which runs the palm version of windows xp on it. How much is windows xp for palm pilots, and would it be able to run on this clie? I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to pdas, but it seems easy enough to learn. Is there a way to get the win xp for it without buying a pda with it already installed? Thanks.

I haven't heard anything bad about Palm OS nor have I ever seen Windows CE for sale, it usually comes preinstalled in the PDA. Never thought you could just erase and install an OS on a PDA like a regular computer. Of course I don't have a PDA so I don't know for sure. After a quick search I can't find CE for sale anywhere, sorry. Good Luck!

I just asked a sales manager at Sears and he said he has never heard of being able to do that or wouldn't see any need to do it.

Alright, well thanks for calling and finding out. I didn't think you could buy it anywhere after not finding anything out about it online. Oh well

Either it's a palm os device or windowsCE, pocketPC or windows mobile2k3.
The devices can run only the os it was designed for. If it is a microsoft based device it is possible to upgrade from pocket pc to windows mobile2k3. But if it's a palm device, you are stuck with palm os. |
