Remote registry service

OS is Win2kPro SP4

Home user with (2) PC
ADSL with a router

Was browsing the services and noticed the Remote Registry Service was 'Enabled'/running. IF memory serves, that is a potential 'hole' for this application and not necessary since I fix my own problems.

That sound right? Of course I could just de-select and wait, but I thought may as well ask!

Not really needed for this instance, EH?!

Thnks!

This is something that routinely gets disabled. In xp and 2k. Normaly it is used by admins to set their respective registry needs in multiple remote hosts.
