Can Not Access Dialog Box

I use a VPN to work and sometimes on larger Access 97 or XP databases I must wait minutes for a save/query/report etc to run.

When the pop up dialog box appears in the program I get the sound prompt, but if I am off doing something else in another app I can't always get back to the program with the pop up. I can alt tab to it and the program appears to get focus, but I can not pull the pop up to the front to click OK or what ever. My only resolution is to three finger it closed and restart.

Other than just being pateint and doing nothing til the pop up comes up, is there another 'alt tab' shortcut to pull these pop ups to the front?

I am on Win XP Home
