Need advice

Hey guys,

I'm using an older pc, AMD k6-2, 450mhZ, 20GB, 196 MB RAM but with a cheap PCI video card. Would it be possible to run Win XP on this machine or just format and reinstall Win98SE?

I'd stick with 98se. XP would run but not as well as on a newer machine.

I agree with pr, I built a pc for a friend two years ago with similar specs (Soyo 5EMA Pro, AMD K62-500 proc, 40gig hd, 384 mb memory, and an ELSA Erazor vid card). He recently decided to try XP and it ended up being VERY sluggish. With all the eye-candy turned off, it was stable but very slow. I ended up reinstalling 98SE this morning.
