Windows XP Icons - Missing!!!

Quote:
used this: http://www.tgtsoft.com/ to change icon sets.

I then uninstalled 'tgt-style xp' program temporarily, and removed the folders in the remaining 'tree'.

I then re-installed style xp program but cannot restore the original icon set?

In the style xp view-pane preview window, I click on each icon image, but on every click I make in that icon set I receive a message; here is an example of that message for the empty recycle bin,
"windows cannot find the C:\Program Files\TGTSoft\StyleXP\C:\WINDOWS\System32\shell32.dll".
For other icons it's the same message but asking for different .dlls (e.g. netshell.dll, wiashext.dll, mstask.dll, main.cpl, iexplore.exe, explorer.exe, MSONSEXT.DLL,; etc.etc.....).

the icon cache is EMPTY! (even though I don't know where it is on the HDD?).

I applied an icon set I got from 'theme XP' website called: 'xtoon' (it's blue) but now I don't know what has happened to the default 'windows xp' set? (it seems to have disappeared as the 'system' cannot now locate it anywhere?) - how do I get it back please?
I found the above message on another forum (that for some odd reason you had to pay 10 bucks a month to use, so I decided to ask my question here instead). I had the exact same problem happen to me. Does anyone have any advice on what I could do to fix it, or do I just have to reinstall Windows XP??? Thanks for the help,

When looking under the program help guide I found this: "Click on 'Reset Icon Cache...' to delete the icon cache that Windows XP uses to cache icons. If you change many icons, sometimes the cache can become incorrect. If this is the case, it needs to be deleted. The system will slowly, over time, rebuild the icon cache." I don't understand it very well. Does this mean that overtime all of the default icons will be restored, or rather, something else. Someone plz help me!!!

Yes, deleting the icon cache should, when you reboot the computer, cause Windows to make a new icon cache which, in turn, should restore all the default icons.
