Laggy startup
Hey All,
When I type in my password to get into WIN2K, my Network connection is not present in my system tray as it is suppose to be. So I click on the LAN connection on my desktop, and my PC just freezes there. I try to get into Control Panel, and it just freezes there. After a short while, everything then works. Although this does not happen all the time, but it has happened on my AMD system which also ran Windows 2000. Any clues to what this could be? I have AVG running in the background, I have no viruses, and I removed all spyware. Seems like this started to happen more often after I installed of of win2k updates. TIA I really don't have much starting up, except for the defaulted Windows 2000 services. is this a known bug with win2k? Kinda getting frustrated with this...thinkin about going to Linux and staying with Linux. This also happened with the same hard drive when my AMD system went dead, so I installed win2k on this new system that I built, and within weeks, if I were t try to get into network connections, it would just freeze up my pc and then somehow everything would work. sorry for such a lengthy thread.
