Unhappy Finding Windows XP Seriel Number

Hi Guys!

Great forums you have here. I have a great question for you guys. One of my room mates threw out the seriel number for my windows xp. Now, I already have it installed on my computer but for future reference, I was hoping there was somewhere in the OS where it could tell me the seriel just in case I ever needed to reinstall or reformat. I'll take any advice or any other options you guys can think of, but please don't tell me I now have a coster. Thanks guys. Gibble.

Cool

If you are talking about the product key to reload.
Aida32 will give it.

Open Regedit and navigate to HKEY_LOCALMACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT \CurrentVersion. Look at ProductId. The CD Key is digits 6 thought 15.

Product key is 25 positions long. 6 thru 15 is only 10.
