Maybe they're sick of having a constant stream of updates for XP.

I'll cut them some slack if they sell upgrades for US$30-40 or less, otherwise I'll just view it as money-grabbing.

Think I'd rather install the existing XP on a new build and do all the updates rather that be a guniea pig for M$. At least I know what to expect. Don't need an ME experience!

Exactly, it's going to be released a year before Longhorn. People will rush out to get the new XP then they'll rush out a few months our a year later to get Longhorn.

It's a money grab, just like ME was.
