Outlook express " Have mail" notification
Hello all. I'm running Xp and I can't seem to have Outlook express notify me by flashing an icon near my "Time" when I have new mail. I had outlook set to check mail every 10 min. which I changed to every 5 min and also changed do not connect to connect even when working offline but nothing seems to work thanks. Ps. as soon as I open Outlook the new mail message appears. And If it matters I also run aol but I don't see that making a dif. Thanks again

. . . I don't use OE much, but I imagine it would need to be your primary mail program for the notification to work. Check to see if the AOL mail client is the primary, and change that to OE, if that's how you want things to go.

That happened to me, also. I got mine working but not sure what I did....It seemed to appear after I put in a new vid card, but try turning off "Hide Icons" for a while, that seemed to help also.
