Need help with Network Neighborhood
Hey guys,
A few weeks ago, I was able to share files between my 2 computers. One is running Win XP and the other Win 98. I reformatted Win 98 last week and now, when I go to Network Neighborhood, it won't let me see the Win XP computer. If I try to get files from Win XP to Win 98, I have no problems. What could I be doing wrong? Also, Win 98 asks me for a password at the start... I just don't put anything and click ok and it works. How can I get rid of that? Thanx a bunch |

How do you have the computers connected? Router? Crossover? Are you using TCP/IP? Is this FE or SE?
You can use TweakUI to autolog-on for Win98.

To get rid of the password window, open Network in the Control Panel. Change the drop down from Microsoft Client to Windows Logon. This is assuming you have not installed any passwords. If you have, you'll have to edit the .pwl registry.
