Changing File Extentions in XP
I'm using windows XP pro. When I try and change the name of a file i cannot change the file extention. I'm trinkg to change a *.BAK file to a *.DWG file in auto CADD. Can some one please tell me how to change the file extention in XP pro.

In Explorer, go to Tools, Folder Options, and then View. Make sure that "Hide file extensions" is unchecked. Then you will be able to see and change the extensions.

It would be nice if they had extentions enabled by default, but I guess then some people might mess things up.
