Outlook XP receive

When I start MS Outlook XP it will send/receive fine, but of the multiple accounts I have it check, the ones where I have 'leave a copy on the server' checked it will continue to show the messages from that account as a new message if I restart Outlook. I can read it, delete it, and the next time I start Outlook it will re-download the same messages. Anyone know what the cause could be? I have never had this happen with any other computer.

Look for a check box for "download only unread messages" or something like that.
