boot volume messed up i need help

I have a computer that the Hard drive crashed. Bad Sectors in the boot volume. I need to get data off the drive. I put it in another computer and it recognizes the drive but when I explore it I get an error " bad image". Is there a program i can use to repair or get the data off the drive?
