Broadband connection always disconnected
My uncle's broadband connection keeps getting disconnected. I reinstalled the OS(WIN 98), configured the settings for internet but still got the same results. I tested the USB ADSL modem with my own pc and its working fine.
I then upgraded to WIN2k. It was fine for an hour or so before it got disconnected again. The errror msg given was something like this "svc error, see log for details" (couldnt remeber the exact words) |

Every problem I have seen with unstable DSL connections has been the modem or the wiring in the building or outside.

I also would get rid of the USB modem and get an Ethernet one if possible.
