Chkdsk Scan Wont Stop!

Every time I boot Windows XP Professional, it always runs Chkdsk on drive G:. Whenever I try to use the defragmenter, I can't even analyze the drive because it says Chkdsk is scheduled to run. I always allow Chkdsk scan to complete, but it still runs whenever I boot up. I checked Scheduled Tasks and it's not listed there. Can someone please help me?
