virus software won't scan all files

Hi,

I'm sure that I have the lovsan.a virus, but avg won't scan all files. I tried putting all drives in the share folder and it still won't scan them. What do I do?

I followed all instructions on how to remove the virus in 8 minutes section toward the bottom of page. If it when running the software, it says that no virus is found, but I think there is.

One more question...I am a home user only...should I go back to win98?
