Rnaapp

on pressing Alt + Ctrl + De,l I find a program "Rnaapp" in the close Program window. I had not seen this program running before and it refuses to quit.
Is that A Virus program ?
My PC is on WIN 98 SE and is on LAN.

The Rnaapp is a Windows file that controls the dialup networking functions with your modem. If it was not there before, you probably hadn't used your modem yet. I *think* it only loads when you use the modem...not sure on that part though; but no, its not a virus program.

MGS - if you have an antispyware program, you might want to get the latest definitions file from it and run a scan. Even though Rnaapp isn't a virus itself, the fact that it has suddenly shown up in your task list might indicate that some spyware was trying to dial home. If you don't currently have any antispyware programs, AdAware (http://www.lavasoft.de) and Search&Destroy (http://spybot.safer-networking.de) have free-for-personal-use versions available for download - and are widely recommended.

You also might want to look in on Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Information . . and click on the plus (+) sign next to "Software Environment" -then on "Startup" --- see if everything in there looks right to you. There's a column on the right hand side window that tells you exactly where the program is "Loaded From" [where it asks Windows to start = whether from an .ini file, .bat file, or Registry entry] To help identify processes you don't recognize, you can search the pacs-portal/sysInfo list: http://www.sysinfo.org/startuplist.php

There might be nothing wrong at all - but it can't hurt to double-check things a little.

rnaapp has a habit of not unloading from memory on disconnect if you use a "winmodem".
