Old 95 stuff.

I have a game on my old ACER computer and would like to get it off and put it on my other computer. The older one is Windows 95 and the newer one (Gateway) is 98se. How can I get this game off. I don`t have any disc for it. Thanks for any help.

That game usually arrives via download, usually as shareware. Right-click on the shortcut icon you use to start the game, and left-click on "Properties" - one of the boxes will read "Target". Copy that info down with pencil & paper, then open Windows Explorer and visit that location. There might be the original download file in that folder. Or it may be that a simple game such as this can run just by copying the folder and running the executable (the .exe file)

If you have Internet access, you can download a version to match your Win98se. If you do a quick Google search, you'll find well over 25 places to grab different versions of that game online. Most are freeware/shareware. Whatever version you download, run an antispyware program just after that: since most come with spyware baggage [usually some RealNetworks or Gator nonsense] . . . the free downloads are usually the Win95 version, which might/might not work OK in Win98.

Some Bloob download sites

Spyware scanners:
AdAware - http://www.lavasoft.de
Search&Destroy - http://spybot.safer-networking.de

. . . And remember: if you choose to download a version, scan the download itself with an antivirus program. . .
