.MP4 to .MP3 for Nomad Jukebox zen Extra?

I have a nomad jukebox zen extra and want to put some music files that i downloaded off iTunes on it. However the files are in .mp4 type. Is their a way i can change them to .mp3 so i can put them on my mp3 player?

Burn them to a CD with itunes, then re-encode them as mp3. There are other ways but you'd need a Mac.

Unfortunately neither of those programs will work as the do not support the open AAC standard that itunes songs are encoded in, plus itms songs include DRM to prevent such a thing. The only way do do it without violating the law is to burn them to CD and then re-import/encode them in the desired format.

But it will not convert a protected AAC purchased from the itms. The only way to do it without hacking the DRM is the way i specified above.
