Boot up problem

Hey guys,

I recently installed an I/O Magic DVD writer and ever since I've been having to wait 1-2 minutes at the boot up startup screen (Intel Desktop Boards etc...) before it actually boots Win XP. What could be the problem?

Review its cabling and jumpering. Sounds like you are using a 40 wire cable with the drive in Cable Select, or you are using an 80 wire with it hardjumpered to the wrong position.
