Know any software to lock XP desktop?
I leave the pc on, and it goes to power save. I don't want anyone disturbing this pc becuase there are lots of work on it. Any programs that allows me to lock the desktop, meaning if I move the mouse, then I need a password to do everything. Like the screen saver password, only that the screen saver password, if you restart the pc people can still use the pc. Not that secure. I found out there are no password options in Xp screen saver. freeware.
Thanks

FYI...Help & Support gives a decent description of screen saver password use.
click on start menu; select "help&Support" ( if it's there) in "search" type: screen saver. Look for "protect your files with a screen saver password". |

First, set a user password. Then right click your desktop and go to Properties. On the Screensaver tab, click on the Power button and in the new box that pops up, click on Advanced. Here you will see a box that says "Prompt for password when computer resumes from Standby".
