xp is fussy on what hardware it will run on, if it says that it cannot be installed on your system, I would suggest that you belive it, and not try to do it anyway as if you were able to get buy with it , you may have other issues trying to run it and other software.

Are you trying to upgrade from Win 3.1 to XP. I don't think that works. You will proballly have to wipe the drive you are trying to install it on and use an oem or retail version of XP to make it work!

Are you trying to load WindowsXP on your 500 mb harddrive?

You could start by buying a new keyboard and mouse.

xp is not in the upgrade path with w3.1.
it will not allow you to do that.
it can only be upgraded with w9x systemsm w2k systems and a couple others
but not w3.1

Send a message via ICQ to RJ
afaik you can't upgrade from Win 3.11, you gotta to a clean full install.

The generic ram might cause problems with xp. But i'd first try to install it before exchanging parts.

Watch where we are going here. We do NOT assist with pirated operating systems, read the forum FAQ.

XP will not upgrade from 95 either - 98 and newer only.

no m$ - Did you not read what I said?

Read the FAQ. Windows 95 is not abandonware. Posting that link is against the FAQ and you are hereby warned not to do it again.
